This development adopts a contemporary design approach that incorporates an active frontage to both streetscapes, canopies that overhang the footpath and numerous balconies at the upper levels.
It includes a combination of glazed and metal cladding that creates a visually interesting presentation and comprises extensive vertical articulation to reduce building bulk across the width of the site.
The presentation to the side street features a brick component which offsets the use of modern materials and creates a level of transition with adjacent residential buildings. The brick section also includes a vertical feature wall and indented garden bed.
The recessed upper levels of the development minimise potential visual bulk or dominance when viewed from the streetscape, and recessing of the upper levels is also applied to the rear elevation with appropriate regard given to the adjacent residential interface.
