In 2022, our office successfully facilitated a planning permit application for a student accommodation building in Frankston, which resulted in the permit being issued within 8 months of lodgement.
In mid-2023, the property owner approached us to explore an alternative use for the approved development: a rooming house to provide short-term accommodation for staff and contractors working at the nearby hospital.
The application was recently reviewed by the Council, which recognised the need for this type of purpose-built accommodation at this location. The design and management plan were highly praised, and the application received unanimous support from all Councillors. As a result, the planning permit was issued within 8 months of the new application being lodged.
We are thrilled to see this much-needed facility come to fruition.
