Innovative Two-Storey Addition Approved for Heritage Home in Clifton Hill

|

Inner-city suburban lots are often limited by their small site area and narrow width, making it challenging to design new additions that comply with setback and boundary wall requirements, whilst also providing a high level of internal amenity for its occupants.

Accordingly, we are delighted to have received a Planning Permit for a ground and first floor addition to an existing contributory heritage graded dwelling in Clifton Hill, that includes reduced setbacks and a two storey boundary walls.

Designed by John Demos Architects, the proposed addition has a contemporary architectural style that is concealed when viewed from the street and incorporates an innovative approach to the screening of windows.
